About Our School
King George School is located within an affordable community close to the South Saskatchewan River and downtown Saskatoon. Built in 1921, the building has undergone extensive upgrades.

As our school has a community school coordinator, it is a hub for educational, social, recreational and cultural activities. We know the benefits of early childhood education and that is why we offer a prekindergarten program for three- and four-year-olds, full day alternate day pilot program (M/W or T/Th), and a full day, every day kindergarten program as well as a half time program (M/W/altF). A breakfast, snack and lunch nutrition program is also available to students, with halal option. We have many other generous partners who support us throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome at our school, and we pride ourselves on building strong relationships and working as a team. We have come together as three schools (Princess Alexandra, Pleasant Hill and King George), as we eagerly await our new school to be built. We hope to see the new school opening in the 2027-28 school year. We are mamawi, the Cree word meaning all together; one family under one sky. Together we are better!
