We are now accepting applications for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (or IB program) is for Grades 11 and 12 students who are academically motivated and desire the rigorous kind of curriculum that will leave them exceptionally well-prepared for post-secondary. Students who complete an IB diploma also achieve a Saskatchewan high school diploma. The program is offered at two of our high schools: Bedford Road and Aden Bowman.

Grade 11 unique programs

On February 27, Global Saskatoon interviewed the developer/coordinators of Saskatoon Public Schools' Grade 11 unique programs. The Grade 11 unique program offerings include: High School Carpentry Apprenticeship Program (HCAP), Manifest Academic Growth and Promote Indigenous Excellence (MAGPIE), Media School and Outdoor School. HCAP is also available to Grade 12 students.

Teachers inspire urban planning students to think big

SPS Métis Cultural Days

The Central Urban Métis Federation Inc. (CUMFI) opened the doors of the Western Development Museum (WDM) to 20 classes from Saskatoon Public Schools on Sept. 10. The event followed on the heels of the community-wide Métis Cultural Days celebration that took place at the WDM between Sept. 6-8. The day provided a unique opportunity for SPS students to engage in Métis traditional and contemporary teachings.
